Good visibility for labelled companies at the ‘Art de vivre à la française’ exhibition in Moscow

From 6 to 9 October, 60 EPV-labelled companies were in Moscow for the Art de vivre à la française (The French Art of Living) exhibition. Organised by the French Trade Commission – Ubifrance and MAISON&OBJET, this key event of France-Russia Year brought together 170 French interior design and decoration companies.

Representatives of traditional French skills, these labelled companies from the spheres of interior decoration, tableware and built heritage enjoyed good visibility at the show, thanks to the actions put in place by the Institut Supérieur des Métiers, Ubifrance and SAFI, with support from the French Directorate-General for Competitiveness, Industry and Services (DGCIS).

A group display of EPV products was set up in the exhibition club, on the mezzanine level. There, VIP visitors and journalists were able to appreciate the complementarity of labelled companies’ skills. The display was organised in partnership with the Russian Artisans’ Fund, which also exhibited works by Russian artisans.

Meanwhile, a round table held on 8 October, also in conjunction with the Fund, provided an opportunity to present the EPV label to visitors, and for two labelled companies to demonstrate their expertise: Mr Tisserant (Tisserant Art & Style) and Mr Lockhart (Pillivuyt).

Alongside the event, EPV-labelled companies benefited from a range of services offered as part of the Ubifrance/DGCIS agreement, including individual interpreters. The option of a follow-up service from the Economic Mission in Moscow is also available.

The exhibition was also an opportunity for the ISM to present to labelled companies the new International Volunteer (VIA) for EPVs appointed to the Economic Mission in Moscow, Ms Camille Durand. As well as working on the follow-up to the event, she will also be the point of contact at the Economic Mission for all labelled companies wishing to explore the Russian market (to contact her: camille.durand@ubifrance.fr).

Ms Christine Lagarde, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry and Employment, opened the exhibition on 5 October. After a tour of the exhibition, she visited the EPV group display, where she was able to admire the objects presented.
