The Dictionary of Crafts and Trades is now out
The Dictionnaire de l’Artisanat et des Métiers, produced by the ISM in conjunction with the different craft organisations and published by Editions du Cherche-Midi, is now on sale at bookshops.
This reference work provides economic policy-makers, companies and the general public with a fundamental information tool on crafts and trades, aimed at ensuring recognition for all the social and professional activity which characterises them. Intended first and foremost for secondary schools and vocational training establishments, it is a permanent, practical aid both for teaching staff and careers advisers and for parents and young people.
The result of a joint effort, the successful completion of the dictionary would not have been possible without the close collaboration of professional craft organisations, the Union Professionnelle Artisanale and the Permanent Assembly of Chambers of Crafts and Trades, and ongoing support from the Directorate-General for Competitiveness, Industry and Services of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Finance and Industry.
